30th Anniversary of the Special State Protection Service marked in Batumi
The head of the Special Service of State Protection, Lieutenant General Anzor Chubinidze, together with the Chairman of the Government of Ajara, Tornike Rijvadze, congratulated the employees of the Main Division of Ajara on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the service.
‘30 years have passed since the establishment of the Special State Protection Service. I congratulate the management of the service, each employee on the 30th anniversary of service.
The special state protection service has made a great contribution to the process of peaceful, democratic development of our country's security. Thank you for the honorable, dedicated service’ - said Tornike Rijvadze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara.
Davit Gabaidze, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara and Archil Chikovani, the Mayor of Batumi also attended the event. Successful employees were awarded with medals and certificates.
Special State Protection Service was established in 1994. As of today, the agency includes 13 structural units and 2 public law legal entities. The main activity of the service is to ensure the protection and safety of the highest officials, state facilities of critical importance and the first persons from foreign countries visiting the country.
