Tornike Rijvadze meets with Members of Student Clubs of Public Universities of Georgia
Tornike Rijvadze, the chairman of the government of Ajara, met with the members of the student clubs of the public universities of Georgia. 11 clubs of students unite hundreds of students of public universities.
Tornike Rijvadze talked about implemented and ongoing educational, infrastructural, investment projects and discussed important issues of their interest.
The chairman of the government noted that it is important to have constant communication with young people and their involvement in solving important issues for the country.
‘We had a very fruitful discussion with the students. Many questions of specific and also national importance were raised. We will continue communication with students in future as well. We will always plan with them the important priorities that are essential for our future’ – Tornike Rijvadze said.
Students Clubs were launched on the bases of the universities. They were supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth. Clubs aim at supporting and promoting youth initiatives. Members of the clubs have the opportunity to hold meetings with the celebrities they want - politicians, athletes, representatives of the arts.
The meeting continued in question-answer mode. Development dynamics of Ajara region, tourism, infrastructure and economic issues were discussed.
Nodar Papukashvili, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Goergia; Nika Chkhartishvili, the Head of Youth Affairs Department; Merab Khalvashi, the acting rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State Unicersity attended the meeting with the student club members.
